Tuesdays

June 18 - July 9

11AM- 2PM

Class Size Max: 6

View cameras offer precise control of focus and perspective, as well as a variety of creative possibilities. This 4-week workshop will guide beginner to intermediate students in the use of a view camera and related accessories for shooting large format black and white sheet film. Through lecture, demonstration, hands-on practice and reviews, students will learn the basics of using the view camera for architectural interiors, still life, and portrait photography. Topics include film handling, camera movements, lens choice, focus, perspective and composition, lighting and control, metering and exposure, specific equipment needs, and post processing/editing. By the end of the course, the class will have collaborated to make photographs of interiors, still lives, and portraits, and gained the knowledge to continue making more on their own.

$120 material fee included in tuition

If your desired tuition option is unavailable, please email info@penumbrafoundation.org and we will do our best to accommodate you. If the entire class is sold out, we can add you to the waitlist.
