Starting in 2025, we are exclusively offering 8×10 tintypes. Our studio will be open one weekend per month at the beautiful Highlight Studios, a perfect space for timeless portraits. Previously purchased sessions or non-expired gift cards for smaller sizes will be honored and upgraded to 8x10 at no additional cost.

What is a tintype?

Considered by many to be the Polaroid of the 19th century, the tintype is made almost instantaneously through a process that uses hand poured chemicals on an enameled sheet of metal. Tintypes, often found today in near original condition, were passed down as family heirlooms and valued for their time-tested archival stability.

Scans are included! For a digital copy of your tintype, please check off High Resolution Retouched Scan when booking. Turnaround for retouched scans is 7 business days. Scans will be sent via WeTransfer. If you do not want a digital copy of your tintype, simply leave this option unchecked.

Plates must be picked up within 30 days of our session or they will be discarded.

Please note that gift cards expire 365 days after the date of purchase. We will honor gift cards from all previously offered tintype sizes that have not expired. All sessions will be upgraded to an 8x10.
