10 AM - 6 PM

Class Size Max: 4

Prerequisite: Intro to Wet Plate or equivalent knowledge of the process

Have you taken Intro to Wet Plate and want more hands-on time with the process?

Join instructor Sam Dole for a dedicated day of tintype practice. Participants will work collaboratively, sharing cameras and materials while refining their technique under the guidance of an experienced wet plate practitioner. Sam will be on hand to assist with pouring methods, dialing in exposure times, and answering any outstanding questions about the process.

Penumbra will provide all necessary materials, including cameras, continuous lighting, chemistry, and plates. Each participant may bring one model; no additional setups are permitted. Maximum plate size is 4x5.

Tuition includes a $25 materials fee

If your desired tuition option is unavailable, please email info@penumbrafoundation.org and we will do our best to accommodate you. If the entire class is sold out, we can add you to the waitlist.
