6PM - 9PM
Class Size Max: 6
This hands-on two session workshop offers students an opportunity to layer the platinum palladium and cyanotype processes to produce prints with added depth and tonal range. In the first session, students will learn to coat, expose, and develop platinum palladium prints before applying cyanotype chemistry to the dried prints and re-exposing them to produce split-tone results. In the second session, students will reverse the process, applying platinum palladium chemistry over cyanotype prints to explore how the order of the layers affects the final tonality. Students will leave with an understanding of the materials and workflow to continue printing on their own. Students can expect to make between 6-8 prints during the course.
All materials are provided. Print size is limited to 8 x 10.
$75 materials fee included in tuition.
If your desired tuition option is unavailable, please email info@penumbrafoundation.org and we will do our best to accommodate you. If the entire class is sold out, we can add you to the waitlist.
