This two-session course introduces participants to the fundamentals of inkjet layering with ware cyanotype. Through a combination of demonstration and hands-on practice, students will learn to create digital negatives for color layering, coat paper, and process prints. Students will leave the workshop with a small collection of prints and a foundational understanding of the technique. Print size is limited to 8x10. Previous cyanotype experience is helpful, but not necessary. 

$30 materials fee included in tuition.

Jarrett Esaw is a photographer based in New York City, currently attending Hunter College for Studio Art. Interested in natural light, Jarrett explores New York in search of compositions and situations that stand out in different lighting. His work encompasses a variety of genres, with a focus on street photography. The print is an integral aspect of his practice. Whether it be silver gelatin, albumen, platinum, or inkjet his images are not fully realized until they are on paper.
