Thursdays

April 23 & 30

6PM - 9PM

Class Size Max: 6

Requirements: Previous experience printing cyanotype is recommended, but not required.

Cyanotype is an iron-based photographic process that traditionally produces monochromatic Prussian blue images, and inkjet printing provides the opportunity to incorporate full color into these prints. Through hands-on guided practice, participants will learn the steps for making digital negatives, layer color using an inkjet printer, properly register their negatives, coat paper in cyanotype, expose, and process their prints. Students will finish the course with a collection of 8 x 10 inkjet layered cyanotype prints and the knowledge to continue printing independently.

$30 materials fee included in tuition.

If your desired tuition option is unavailable, please email info@penumbrafoundation.org and we will do our best to accommodate you. If the entire class is sold out, we can add you to the waitlist.
