10 AM - 6 PM
Class Size: 6 Max
This intensive, hands-on workshop offers students an opportunity to learn about the beautiful practice of layering platinum palladium prints with blue cyanotype pigments for additional depth and tone. Students will start by learning the basics of creating an inkjet negative from a digital file or pre-scanned film negative. The class will then go over preparing traditional platinum-palladium chemistry, coating, exposing, and developing prints. The second day will be devoted to learning how to mix the cyanotype emulsion, for layering, and re-exposing on top of the platinum palladium to create stunning split tone results. Students will leave with a solid understanding of the materials and workflow to continue printing on their own. All materials are provided. Print size is limited to 8 x 10.
Tuition includes a $150 materials fee.
