This online course introduces essential post-processing techniques for scanned film using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Through presentations, demonstrations, and weekly assignments, students will learn how to work with color vs black and white negatives, achieve accurate and consistent color, make batch color adjustments, and precisely remove dust using retouching and selection tools. Each week’s assignment will reinforce the techniques covered in class and provide an opportunity for feedback in the following session. By the end of the course, students will have developed an optimized and consistent workflow for post-processing digitized film and producing high-quality final files.
Please note: This course does not cover film scanning. It focuses on post-processing and optimizing existing scans.
