Class Size Max: 6

Location: EUREKA Kingston (specific details provided after registration)

Join Sara J. Winston for a weekend in upstate New York to shape your project into a photobook. This workshop is designed for photographers who are working on making a book with an existing body of work and wish to engage in discussion about image editing, sequencing, and book object design. In this two-day workshop, the class will work together to refine student books through practical assignments, concrete examples, and group critique and discussion of works-in-progress. Participants will finish the workshop with a better understanding of how to edit, sequence, and layout their selection of photographs into book form. After the workshop, all will leave with an actionable checklist of what to do next on their way to completing their book.

Participants should bring 75-150 4x6” work prints to both days of the workshop. These should not be precious prints as they will be handled and taped into book dummy structures.

This workshop is a part of the Summer 2024: Penumbra Workshops in the Hudson Valley programming and will not take place at Penumbra Foundation.

If your desired tuition option is unavailable, please email info@penumbrafoundation.org and we will do our best to accommodate you. If the entire class is sold out, we can add you to the waitlist.
