10 AM - 6 PM
Class Size Max: 6
Come spend a weekend exploring unconventional approaches to gum printing. Gum printing traditionally combines gum arabic, watercolor pigments, and photosensitive dichromate. When this beautiful 19th century process is combined with materials such as mineral oxide and thermal or fluorescent pigments, there is endless opportunity for discovery. The approach is experimental, and the results can be unpredictable, but it is guaranteed to result in unique and even interactive prints. Through demonstration and hands-on learning, students will leave the workshop with a variety of prints and the knowledge to continue playing with this process on their own. Students of all levels are welcome for this weekend of darkroom fun!
$70 materials fee included in tuition
