About the Artist:
Elizabeth Nahum-Albright is a Brooklyn-based photographer specializing in analog photography practices. Primarily informed by her surroundings and personal experiences, her work is deeply rooted in her life. Her images often explore ideas surrounding nostalgia, loss and a love of documenting spaces. Nahum-Albright works as the Senior Merchandise Buyer at the Strand Book Store located in New York City - the inspiration for her latest project, Strand After Hours. She received her BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Around that time, she joined the Penumbra Foundation as an intern, and she has remained a dedicated volunteer and friend to the foundation ever since. Her work has been exhibited in Indianapolis in association with the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies and in New York City at Soho Photo Gallery.
