James the River
James the River
"James the River is a story about getting older–among other things of course. I think about the times in my childhood where a month seemed so long, almost like an eternity. The older I get, the faster everything seems to go. But even then (because I am still very young) I look back to the beginning of last year and I say to myself: Oh my God… So much has happened. I floated down a river for about two hours one day, my cousin drove me there–to the river. I was carrying one of those black tubes I would see in old movies a lot. I saw time passing, organisms dying the growing. I had to make a book about it.
