10 AM - 6 PM

Class Size Max: 12

Learn about photochemical activity with analog materials and plants in this hands-on workshop in Brooklyn Film Camera's backyard!

There are many experimental and creative photographic applications using plants and household materials. During this one-day workshop, participants will learn how to mix and match different plants and materials to explore accelerated Lumens, chemilumens, and homemade experimental developers. Students are encouraged to bring objects, foliage, or transparencies to experiment with. The class will lean heavily on the practical and experimental side of play while guiding you with expert knowledge and easy-to-understand science. Participants will leave with prints made in different processes and a greater understanding of photochemistry and the science of everyday things.

Please note that if the weather does not permit, the rain date for this workshop will be July 6.

Since this is a joint workshop, member discounts are not applicable. We apologize for the inconvenience.
