Learn about the cyanotype process in this hands-on workshop! The cyanotype, invented in 1842 by English chemist and astronomer Sir John Herschel, and used by the photographic pioneer Anna Atkins, produces distinctive Prussian blue images. During this one-day workshop, participants will learn how to mix and apply chemistry to paper and other materials and print unique ware cyanotypes using inkjet negatives and a UV Exposure unit. Students should come prepared with digital files made with anything from their phones to a DSLR camera.
High school students of any experience level are encouraged to sign up for this day of photographic fun!
$25 materials fee included in tuition
If your desired tuition option is unavailable, please email info@penumbrafoundation.org and we will do our best to accommodate you. If the entire class is sold out, we can add you to the waitlist.
