Spend the week in the darkroom learning about siderotypes in this hands-on photography workshop!

Siderotypes are iron-based photographic prints that are made by combining iron with another type of metal. These processes are unique as they can be applied onto many different materials, produce a wide variety of color and tonal range, and are easily combined with inkjet layering applications.

During this five-day course, students will spend each day exploring a different siderotype process including cyanotype, argenotype, kallitype, chrysotype, and platinum/ palladium. Applications onto various materials and finishing techniques including vellums and metallic gilding will be covered for each process. Students should come to class ready to print with color digital files made with any device. This course is recommended for students of all levels who are looking for an additional technique for finding self-expression.

Tuition includes a $195 materials fee.

If your desired tuition option is unavailable, please email info@penumbrafoundation.org and we will do our best to accommodate you. If the entire class is sold out, we can add you to the waitlist.
