juliana roccoforte novello is an artist, educator, and activist. She is a first-generation Italian-American born and bred Brooklynite working in social justice. She was raised by wolves and likes to make pictures that challenge norms and ask unyielding questions about class, gender, age, and romance. She believes the best art is made of risk. She has a dog named Birdie who balances her and a tight-knit family who try their best but cannot help yelling when they get upset.
