This workshop will take a look at the history, theory, and practice of the camera obscura, with an emphasis on the technical relationship between camera-making and image formation. Together we will transform a studio space into a functional camera and use that camera to create and process paper negative prints. Each participant will leave with an understanding of how to transform any space into a camera obscura and the images they created on site. Students are encouraged to bring cameras to document their experience.
